First time for me. It was the day after we booked it that news of the kidnapping broke. It seems this made both the English and Chinese news stations as we got the impression that both sets of parents (grandparents) were none too thrilled. We were reassured by a quick check of the FCO website. We're in the safe area. Just. 

We had a night in Cebu first before ferry to Tagbilaran. Flight was a doddle again, except for nearly missing it. Nothing to report here except DD1s first high chair. 

But Cebu's ferry port was really quite outstanding

And our resort in Panglao is pretty nice too
