Not as nice a day today, and more of a city stroll. Nice ferry trip. 

Dad had a good read. He hasn't put this book down all holiday. 

Unfortunately we're not there for this

Dad made me take the obligatory tourist photo, 

outside the legislature, which was definitely the highlight of the day (not sarcastic). Dad got yet another compliment for a 'great question' from the docent. I didn't think it really needed asking. Very nice ceiling there. 

Our main activity having been towed away and junked a couple of weeks ago, we filled some time with a big lunch and some more of the craft ales that are unavoidable over here now, and very nice, but very strong. We have eaten very well this trip. I asked dad if he's missed mum's cooking on the trip. He pretended to be asleep but I think the evidence says it all. 

We walked all the way round Port Angeles when we got back looking for somewhere interesting for a drink/food and ended up going to Safeway and getting stuff to take back to the room. That's a pretty damning verdict. This was the most interesting thing we found.
