Day 6 continued

This was our first day with no pre-booked accomm but from our reading the Seagull Motel in Point Arena looked like a good bet!

What Point Arena did have, however, was another lovely lighthouse.

We moved on to Mendocino, a cutesy little town of clapboard houses on the water's edge much favoured by wealthy San Franciscans. Acconn prices were way out of our range so it was on to Fort Bragg, a logging and lumber town. We drove around looking for a half decent motel and ended up at a place called the Colibri. All very strange. We had to check in at the local supermarket and sign up to an A4 sheet of  conditions about our behaviour. The lady on the till was exhorting us to go and see her singing at the karaoke night at Angelina's bar; she was getting very excited and swigging from a bottle of high-energy drink, Needless to say, we went to Angelina's!
